As of 1 July 2026, the AGF Nitrogen, a.s., sub-holding company was established, the aim of which is to closely coordinate all activities of companies belonging to the pan-European chemical division of the AGROFERT Group. The goal is to achieve synergies through economies of scale, increase efficiency and reduce operating costs. Employees, customers and business partners are not directly affected. Petr Cingr, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AGROFERT Group, becomes the Chairman of the Board and the CEO of AGF Nitrogen, a.s.
“The European production of fertilizers and other nitrogen products, like almost the entire chemical industry, is in crisis. However, any crisis also represents an opportunity for future growth for us, and at AGROFERT we have proven many times that we can grasp these opportunities correctly. With the acquisitions of the companies of the LAT Nitrogen Group and recently OCI Ammonia holding, the AGROFERT Group has made it clear that it believes in the future of the chemical industry in Europe and that our employees, customers and business partners can rely on us. However, this future success requires organizational adjustments within the group,” said Petr Cingr, CEO of AGF Nitrogen, a.s., and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AGROFERT Group. In order to be able to fully devote himself to his new role at the helm of AGF Nitrogen, a.s., Petr Cingr resigned from the position of CEO of SKW Stickstoffwerke Piesteritz GmbH as of 30 June 2026. He will maintain contact with the company through the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Carsten Franzke, the company's current COO, has taken over as CEO of Stickstoffwerke Piesteritz GmbH as of 1 July 2026, while the other members of the company's management will remain unchanged.
